O-SDA Industries, LLC is a City of Austin MBE/WBE/Texas HUB certified real estate development firm with deep expertise in building affordable housing communities that meet the unique needs of each city and individual neighborhood they serve. Since 2011, O-SDA has been part of over 25 successful 9% Housing Tax Credit applications for projects across the state of Texas.

Saigebrook Development, LLC creates exceptional affordable housing developments that serve the local workforce while also providing options for market rate rental units within each community. Established in 1996, the WBE- and HUB-certified real estate development consulting firm has developed and constructed more than 6,800 rental homes across the southeastern United States.

Megan Lasch

Megan Lasch serves as Owner and President of O-SDA Industries, LLC where she brings more than 12 years of experience in project management and consulting to the affordable housing industry, managing all aspects of a project life cycle.

Ms. Lasch received her Bachelor’s degree in Biosystems Engineering from Oklahoma State University. She began her career as an Engineering Consultant, where she helped design a variety of public and private development projects. She is a member of the Real Estate Council of Austin and has served as the Board Chair for Skillpoint Alliance, a non-profit providing technology-based workforce training.

Ms. Lasch was also recognized as a finalist in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction category of the 2018 and 2019 Austin Under 40 Awards, which celebrates Austin’s most accomplished and influential emerging professionals who are making an impact in the community.

Lisa Stephens

Lisa is the Owner and President of Saigebrook Development, LLC, a Women’s Business Enterprise and a Texas HUB-certified real estate development firm. Throughout her 20+ year housing career, she has developed in excess of 6,800 apartment homes for families and seniors, creating more than $1 billion of affordable housing assets. She received a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Florida and is certified by the U.S. Green Building Council as a LEED Green Associate. She serves on the National Green Building Standards’ (NGBS) Green Advisory Council, on HUD’s Advisory Group for Residential Resilience Guidelines ,and on the Texas Association of Affordable Housing Providers’ Governmental Affairs Committee. Ms. Stephens was most recently recognized as an NGBS Partner of Excellence and received an Honorable Mention Award from Novogradac’s Historic Rehabilitation Award Program for the redevelopment of Riverside Baptist Church, now Cielo Place, an affordable housing community located in Fort Worth, Texas.

Abby Penner

Abby joined the Saigebrook O-SDA Development Team in 2019 and has been a project manager on several 9% LIHTC deals. Abby is a graduate of Texas A&M University with a degree in Civil Engineering. She worked as a civil engineer for 3 years where she helped design a variety of commercial and multi-family development projects. Abby has worked on most aspects of site design, permitting, project management, and construction.

Alice Cruz

Alice Cruz is a graduate of the University of North Dakota with a degree in Public Administration. She worked for the City of Fort Worth’s Neighborhood Services Department for 6 years. Most of her work was focused housing and community development projects that utilized CDBG, HOME, ESG, HOPWA, HFC, and LIHTC funds. Alice has worked on all aspects of development, including site selection, design process, overall project management, through to project closeout. Alice enjoys developments with more challenging financing or design features, such as HUD 221(d)4 loans, or historic adaptive re-use with housing and historic tax credits. In 2019, Alice formed Across, LLC, which is now a Texas Certified Historically Underutilized Business focused on affordable housing developments.

abby tatkow

Abby Tatkow joined the Saigebrook/O-SDA Development Team in 2022 as a Senior Development Associate. Abby is a licensed Realtor, holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Development from Cornell University and is currently pursuing her Master of Science in Community and Regional Planning from the University of Texas at Austin. 

Abby has ten years of affordable housing and real estate experience in Central Texas.  Throughout her time in Austin, she has managed a program to connect individuals experiencing homelessness with housing, project managed several infill rental and homeownership developments, served on the City of Austin Zoning and Platting Commission and advocated tirelessly for more affordable housing. 

erin curby

Erin is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Civil Engineering and joined the Saigebrook/O-SDA Development team as a Senior Development Associate in 2022.

Prior to joining the Saigebrook/O-SDA team, Erin worked for a general contractor for 5 years. She worked to coordinate projects and build relationships between design team members, subcontractors, and development owners. She also worked on several projects in the Austin area including a summer camp and natatorium, a large corporate campus, and a 50-story high-rise residential project.

Additionally, Erin cares about being involved with her community and has been a volunteer for 5 years with the Seedling Program, an Austin-based organization that mentors children with incarcerated parents.

reggie jennings

Reggie Jennings, a Chicago native, made his way to Texas in the summer of 2018 and joined the Saigebrook/O-SDA Development team in July 2022 as a Financial Analyst.

He is a proud graduate of Southeast Missouri State University where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice with a Spanish minor and a Master’s degree in Higher Education.

His professional career started at Texas Christian University (TCU) where he held roles in the athletics department and in student affairs. During his time at TCU, Reggie was a part of numerous committees’ campus wide and completed various leadership development programs to enhance his professional and personal foundation. One of his most prized accomplishments during his time there was earning his MBA with an emphasis in Finance and Real Estate from the Neeley School of Business.

As a former collegiate student-athlete who played arena football professional for a few years, Reggie prides himself in being efficient in all that he does, kind to all, and being the best at whatever he is a part of.

Julia Westman

Julia, originally from Southern California, moved to Texas in the fall of 2021.

Prior to moving to Texas, Julia’s professional background was in the field of Behavioral Health where she worked as a licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor for over 10 years. Seeking a professional change, she joined the Saigebrook/O-SDA Development team in December of 2021 as an Administrative Assistant. Julia currently serves as the Office and Marketing Manager for Saigebrook/O-SDA.

brenda medcalf

Brenda Medcalf joined the Saigebrook/O-SDA Development Team in 2019 as an accountant. She has 39 years of accounting experience in multiple industries. In 2006, she graduated from the University of Phoenix with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting while working full-time and raising three children.

jarrett johnson

Jarrett is a graduate of Kansas State University with a degree in Civil Engineering. Jarrett joined the Saigebrook/O-SDA Development team as a Construction Supervisor in 2023.

Prior to joining the Saigebrook/O-SDA Development team, Jarrett worked for a general contractor for 5 years. He coordinated alongside design team members and subcontractors to provide the best product possible to development owners. He also worked on several projects in the Austin area including multiple packages of the Texas Facilities Commission Capitol Complex Project Phase 1 and a 50-story high-rise residential project.

Sally Gaskin

SGI Ventures

Sally Gaskin is the President of SGI Ventures, Inc., a developer, and a tax credit and private activity bond consultant. SGI Ventures, Inc. has been active in the affordable housing industry since 1996. Ms. Gaskin is a founding board member and former Board President of the Texas Affiliation of Affordable Housing Providers (TAAHP). Ms. Gaskin has development experience in more than 960 affordable family and senior units including developing 100 units of Permanent Supportive Housing serving formerly homeless residents in Austin.
